Externship Media

The eighth annual Externship Week attracted participation from more than 30 businesses from across the Houston region. Nearly 100 classroom teachers from 18 school districts spent June 7-11 in Houston-area offices and job sites, during Teacher Externship Week 2010 – a collaboration between Houston A+ Challenge, the Greater Houston Partnership and Shell Oil Company.

Teacher Externship Week 2010 began with a breakfast on Monday for teachers and their business sponsors. After the breakfast, teachers went to their host business to work through Friday morning. Teachers and their business hosts gathered again for a luncheon on Friday to share lessons learned.
