Marshal Dupas was honored in 2001-02 as a Region IV Principal of the Year. During his 30 years of practice in the state of Texas, Marshal worked at the secondary level as a science teacher, assistant principal, middle and high school principal in the North Forest Independent School District. During his tenure as a principal, Marshal led two campuses to the rating of “TEA Recognized” in 2000 and 2002. The Louisiana native also serves as an adjunct instructor in the College of Education for the University of Phoenix, specializing in instruction design and standards-based curriculum and instruction.
During his tenure as a principal, Marshal had the privilege of leading two campuses to the rating of “TEA Recognized” in 2000 and 2002. Marshal is a member of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, Texas Association of Secondary School Principals and National Association of Secondary School Principals.
In combination with his work at Houston A+ Challenge, Marshal serves as an adjunct instructor in the College of Education for the University of Phoenix. His areas of concentration are Instruction Design and Standards-Based Curriculum and Instruction. When time permits, Marshal enjoys writing poetry, traveling with his wife of many years, and spending quality time with his grandchildren.
Dupas is a native of Moreauville, Louisiana, and has resided in Houston for over 31 years. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Southern A&M University - Baton Rouge, and a Masters of Education in Secondary Education with mid-management certification from Texas Southern University.
