Houston A+ Challenge holds the National Speaker Series each year to bring leading education researchers to Houston to disseminate the latest proven strategies to provide a quality education that meets each student's needs.

October 3-4 — Michael Fullan
Back by popular demand, Michael Fullan returns to Houston to share his latest research and expand on themes from his book, "Turnaround Leadership." Teacher leadership, school leadership and community leadership -- and their interconnectedness -- will be discussed.

February 26-27 — Nona Lyons
Nona Lyons, Ph.D. from the University College in Cork, Ireland, spoke to educators on “Educating for Inquiry through a Reflective Portfolio Process: What are Imperatives for Teachers or Students to Think Well in Contexts?”
April 23-24 — Grant Wiggins
Grant Wiggins worked with school and community members on the essential questions that must be asked in order for authentic student learning to occur.
July 24 — Michael Fullan
Michael Fullan addressed 450 participants at the 11th annual Reforming Schools Summer Institute regarding his book, "Turnaround Leadership." The focus of his talk was the ten elements of successful change.
