- A three-day summer institute to emphasize team building, visioning, and developing and extending professional development plans for school-based improvements.
- Two annual retreats, held in the fall and in the spring each year.
- A speaker series featuring nationally-recognized speakers during the year discussing the literature and research on whole school reform. Recent guests include: Michael Fullan, Tony Wagner, Pedro Noguera and others.
- Monthly group meetings with two coaches; these meetings provide continuous learning through reflective practice, exploring current research on teaching and learning for shared understanding and implications in leadership settings, and development of a professional plan for each participant.
- Personalized school data examination to look for strengths and weaknesses on the school leader's campus; results of disagregating the data will form the basis for school planning. For example, a school leader may decide to examine how minority students are achieving compared to non-minority students and then conduct a gap analysis to determine appropriate teaching strategies.
